Wounded: Healing from Religious and Spiritual Wounds

This is a book of hope: how to understand spiritual wounds and how to help the hurt to heal. Underneath the hurt are values that can become the foundation for new and deeper understandings about the meaning of life, especially the meaning of one's own life. The motto of Detroit, the area where the author grew up, is “Out of the Ashes,” dating back to colonial times when it burned to the ground. For those whose life experience has given them problems about God, the motto could be “Out of Our Wounds.”
